AKB48's 20th single, "Sakura no Ki ni Narou" sold 655,344 copies the day it was released. On February 16th, Oricon reported 655,344 copies sold beating out their first day sales of million seller single "Beginner".
Beginner sold 568,095 copies on the first day and eventually sold over 1 million copies. This is a great start of the year for AKB48 and this will surely be another number 1 single in the weekly charts for them!
